We are thrilled to announce that the digitalization of sports organisations continues at full speed! On September 9th, the second coordination meeting of the NextGen – Digitalization in Sport Organisations project was successfully held, hosted by Women’s Football Club Sloga in Zemun, Belgrade. Representatives from project partner organisations, including ŠD Partizan Sevnica (Slovenia), Gymnastic Federation of Šibenik-Knin County (Croatia), and DSR SuperKid (Croatia), were in attendance, all contributing to a productive and forward-looking discussion.

The meeting began with a warm welcome from the host, followed by a review of previous activities and an introduction to the upcoming phases of the project. The day was marked by a productive and collaborative atmosphere, with all partners sharing their insights and discussing future project activities.

A key focus of the meeting was the presentation of the IT partner organisations, which will provide the sports organisations of the project partners with both practical and educational support in developing and implementing new digital solutions. Each project partner introduced their IT collaborators, with whom they have established formal agreements. These partners are pivotal in helping to modernize and improve the efficiency of sports organisations involved in the project.

The IT partners and their sports organisation collaborators are as follows:

  • Comp.Ing. Computer Equipment Service for ŠD Partizan Sevnica

  • Procoding Educational Center for Women’s Football Club Sloga Zemun

  • Movens Development j.d.o.o. for Gymnastic Federation of Šibenik-Knin County

  • Entheos for DSR SuperKid

During the meeting, each sports organisation presented the primary digital solutions identified through the earlier SWOT analysis. These solutions will address the most critical needs for the advancement and modernisation of their operations. The partners also shared some of the newly developed digital solutions that have already been implemented since the beginning of the collaboration with IT companies.

The meeting concluded with a tour of the host organisation’s facility, followed by a dinner at a local restaurant, where participants enjoyed the local cuisine and engaged in further discussions in a relaxed setting.

As we move forward, the next and most important phase of the project will be the implementation of the newly developed digital solutions. These solutions will help modernise and improve the work and efficiency of the participating sports organisations at the local level. Through this project, these organisations will serve as role models for others, showcasing how to leverage the digital opportunities of the modern world to promote sports both nationally and globally.

The project partners will continue their collaboration through regular email communication and online meetings, ensuring that progress is closely monitored and all objectives are achieved.
