Date: March 26, 2023
Location: Sevnica, Slovenia
On March 25th, the picturesque town of Sevnica played host to the highly anticipated Launching Conference of the Erasmus+ project, NextGen – Digitalization in Sport Organisations. Representatives from partner organisations, including DSR SUPERKID (Croatia), SD Partizan Sevnica (Slovenia), Gymnastic Federation of Šibenik-Knin County (Croatia), and Women’s Football Club Sloga Zemun (Serbia), gathered for this important event, marking the official launch of the project.
The conference commenced with a warm welcome from the host organisation, SD Partizan Sevnica, followed by an in-depth presentation of the project, its objectives, and the upcoming activities. Each partner organisation was introduced, highlighting their roles and responsibilities within the project framework.
One of the main highlights of the event was a guided tour of the host’s facility, giving participants valuable insights into Sevnica’s sports infrastructure and culture. The exchange of knowledge, skills, and practical experiences regarding digitalization in sports provided a meaningful opportunity for learning and collaboration, fostering a cooperative and supportive environment among the partners.
A key activity during the conference was the completion of a digital SWOT analysis questionnaire, where participants assessed their organisation’s digital competencies. This exercise identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, forming a strategic basis for addressing the digital needs of each organisation involved.
Another critical topic discussed was the establishment of partnerships with IT organisations, laying the groundwork for the next phase of the project. Collaborating with technology experts is expected to significantly boost digital competencies within the sports sector, maximizing the impact of the NextGen project.
As the conference concluded, participants expressed their satisfaction with the event’s organisation and the valuable information shared. Moving forward, partners will maintain active communication through email and video conferences, ensuring the smooth continuation of the project.
Attendees were also given the opportunity to provide feedback through an evaluation form, which assessed various aspects of the event, including logistics, presentation quality, and relevance of the information provided. The insights gained from this feedback will be instrumental in improving the organisation of future events.
The Launching Conference marked a successful and promising start to the NextGen project, generating enthusiasm and momentum among all partner organisations. Stay tuned for more updates on the project’s progress by following our website and social media channels.
